Sacrament Preparation
Preparation for the Sacrament of First Reconciliation (also called Confession or Penance) normally takes place in the second grade for children baptized in the Catholic Faith. Sacramental preparation includes regular religious education classes for children (either in the Religious Education program or as part of the school curriculum), and two parent and child preparation meetings. Children will be asked to memorize the Act of Contrition. Always feel free to contact ward [at] stfrancisa2 [dot] org (Ellen Ward) at 734-821-2132 with questions or concerns. We are here to help your child succeed in their Faith!

Meeting Dates and Times
Preparation and the celebration of First Reconciliation will be posted in September.

Older children (grades 3 up) or children who are not currently enrolled in religious education classes are prepared with instruction appropriate to the needs of the child with the involvement of the parents.  If your child has missed some or all grades, there is a place for your child to begin sacramental preparation.  For more information regarding your older child please contact ward [at] stfrancisa2 [dot] org (Ellen Ward) at 734-821-2132.
