St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School's 60th Anniversary Time Capsule Contents:
The Time Capsule was buried in the Spring of 2013.

  • Kindergarten:
    A book "Thank you, God!" Students also wrote replies to "If I were in charge of the world…" with pictures of themselves.
  • 1st Grade:
    1B- A book about things they like to do. 1A- A book about why they love their 8th grade buddies.
  • 2nd Grade:
    A Saint's report scroll and Halo.
  • 3rd Grade:
    A page from the St. Francis of Assisi Parish Forum that has a class picture of 3rd grade and the class 60 years ago.
  • 4th Grade:
    4th grade play flyers from the last 30 years.
  • 5th Grade:
    2012-2013- things they like to do and favorite things of the time.
  • 6th Grade:
    "People of the future"- In a plastic bag the students included predictions for the future, a homemade artifact from a 6th grade archaeology simulation, and a puppet from one of the puppet shows they wrote and presented to the 1st graders.
  • 7th Grade:
    A box with the "Ship Trip overview" and rocks in the shape of Michigan.
  • 8th Grade:
    A pair of shoes signed by the students - class of 2013.

    Mass celebrated by Bishop Earl Boyea, with school and alumni choir and former priests and faculty present.
  • Saturday, October 6, 2013
    Mustang Re-Connect Celebration following Mass.
  • Friday, May 3, 2013
    Time Capsule burial.
