What are special collections for at St. Francis?
St. Francis Parish community members are generous in supporting the poor in many ways.  Our Parish encourages members to give what they can to these special needs. When a special collection occurs, the FORUM, our Sunday bulletin, describes the recipient or organization that receives the collection.

Volunteers help put together a displays for special collections for the Gathering space in the Church and in the Parish Activities Center during Sunday coffee and donuts.

Application Request for a Special Collection
We take requests for special collections. Provide the following information:

Organization’s name, address, phone number, email address, web address, mission and contact person. A statement that the organization do not seek to contradict the teachings of the Catholic Church is required. A 250 word description about your organization and its work, which will be published in our Parish bulletin and used for the request.  

Detailed information on the organizations that receive a special collection is printed in the Forum, the Parish's weekly bulletin, when the collection takes place.

Requests are reviewed by our Parish Service + Justice Ministry Office  and Parish Peace & Justice Committee. Send special collection requests to Scott Wright, Director of Parish Service + Justice Ministry Office, at swright [at] stfrancisa2 [dot] org or 821-2121.
