Taizé Prayer Services

Taizé prayer is a quiet, simple way of prayer designed for people of all Christian traditions - young and old. These meditative candlelit services are comprised of simple chants sung repeatedly, periods of silence, and prayers of praise and intercession.

Come and take time away from the busyness of life to slow down, reflect, quiet your mind and soul, and be in communion with God.

The short songs that are sung repeatedly over and over take on a meditative character and express a basic reality of faith. As the words are sung over many times, this reality gradually penetrates the whole being. Meditative singing thus becomes a way reaching deep within and listening to God.

Taizé services are held during Advent and Lent in the church. Look for more information in the Forum, the Parish's weekly bulletin distributed at weekend Masses.
