Current Lectors (Readers) and those desiring to explore reading scripture during Mass:

All current Readers (Lectors) both for Sunday and weekday Masses, and those interested in exploring becoming a Reader during Mass, please plan to attend the workshop on:

Saturday, March 7 from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
(Doors open at 9:30 a.m.)
in the Parish Activities Center (PAC).

The March 7 workshop (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) consists of formational talks and reflection leading to commissioning of readers the weekend of April 18/19.

We will be exploring: 1) Tradition in the Early church and in our current day; 2) Proclaiming the good news both in word and deed with guest speaker Paco Gavrilides.  Paco is an instructor at SHMS Detroit and a spiritually inspiring speaker; and 3) a Practicum for proclaiming the word at Mass (including the practical instructions and tips on reading in a public setting).

RSVP!  Your work is needed and appreciated. Please reply by contacting Stephanie MacGillivray at or 734-821-2123 and let us know you are coming (or if unable, your need for other arrangements to complete the formational portions on-line).

God bless you with a holy and blessed Lent!
