Seven Sacred Pauses
by Macrina Wiederkehr

This well-designed little book fits easily into pocket, purse, tote, or backpack and just as easily allows for a new spiritual discipline. Wiederkehr reminds us of the wisdom of taking the time to stop—at seven times during each day for only a few minutes each time. It is perfect for those of us who think we are too busy to pray. We can make those seven brief stops, or pause for only 2 or 3 of them. The inspirational reflections range from Scripture to her own poetry, W.H. Auden to Kahlil Gibran and Eleanor Roosevelt. This is a gem of a prayer and contemplative book.
