Welcome to the St. Francis Parish Geneva Smithe Library

The Mission of the Geneva Smithe Library is to serve the St. Francis of Assisi Parish by providing a well-balanced selection of resources that foster spiritual growth.  The Library is open one half hour before and after masses each weekend and a key will available at the Parish Office for parishioners wishing to use the library during the week.

Library Hours
The library will be open 30 minutes before and after each scheduled weekend Mass:
Saturday: 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm
Sunday: 8:30 am - 1:30 pm

All other times the Library will be closed and locked. If a parishioner would like access during those other times, a key can be signed out at the Parish Office. Signing out a key to the library during off hours requires: Parishioner, must be 18 years or older, or accompanied by an adult; completion of library key check-out form; signature of key check-out form; and, leaving a driver’s license or picture ID at the parish office until key is returned.

How to Use the Library
A binder with sign-out sheet, pencil, date due stampers, and ink pad will be available on the table. We ask that you write the date, your name & telephone number, names of books and/or videos that you wish you check out, and the barcode number(s) on sign-out sheet. If you need assistance, ask a staff person or volunteer. The barcode number is found on the white label on the back of the book or video…it is a 5 digit number. Stamp the date due slip(s) inside books & videos.

Materials may be checked out for 3 weeks. Although we have no library fine, per se, we kindly welcome donations for any damaged or lost materials.
